Week 34! We.Are.Close!!

Oh My Gosh!!! We are like in the home stretch folks!! At our last checkup all was well. My belly was measuring larger than what it should be. But I am not surprised since he is seeming to be a big baby. We heard a story in birth bootcamp last week about a 13 pound natural home birth! Surely we wont reach that!!

It has been a big prep week for the Janes household... As I sit here eating my birthday treat from Coldstone, I will run down the "todos" we have knocked off:
- Ordered the rug for the nursery. Can I tell ya about the deal we got! Thank you RugsUSA because we got exactly what I was looking for... for $91 bucks! Anddd it is a 5x8 rug! Cant.Wait!
 - Made goodie bags for the nurses
- Wrote (and began checking things off of) the hospital bag lists. I have one for Christopher, Baby J, and I. Christopher is 90% packed. I just need to add a few things like up to date magazines, the ipad, his contacts/glasses (whichever he is not wearing. He laughed at me when I told him he was ready. Because lets be real he can leave the hospital whenever he wants or needs to run home. Only one, well two, of us will be prisoners of Baylor Frisco. I just wanted him to know he is just as special. I don't want him to be forgotten or thought any less important. Same with the pup, but I haven't figured out what to do for her yet. Taking suggestions!) Baby J and I's bags are just a thought right now. I have some stuff together like travel sized toiletries, and went shopping for some other things. But I have to get more.
- I.bought.grannie.pannies.... I KNOW! Vickies my love you are officially put on hold until mama is back to "before Baby J body." I am accepting it. I get a baby out of the deal, so I can accept it!
- Christopher ran a half marathon! Wahoooo Hubsman
- I have begun contacting newborn photographers, that is exciting & expensive. Butttt I know we will appreciate having them!
- Spoke with the insurance about getting a free hospital grade pump! Wahooo! I think we will go with Medela!
- Turn 27 - Check! And I celebrated it by doing things for my fur baby and belly baby. Puppy class & Birth Bootcamp!
- We got 4 more closet baskets from the Container Store... side note they were on sale for $11 versus the $14 we paid for the others! Rats! Coulda saved some mulah...oh well!
- We got Baby J's lamp! Thank you World Market and bday emails!
- Washed sheets and bumper for borrowed bassinet! Our neighbors are the best!

Todos we still need to do:
- Get a trash can for Baby J's poopie diapers
- Pack Baby J & I's hospital bags
- Stores.Stores.Stores! I have a list of things I need to get to finish projects here and there! (IKEA, Dollar Store, Target...)
- Organize Baby J's stuff. I have begun too. But every time I go into the nursery (read: daily) there is something I move around!
- Measure and buy baskets/buckets for storage in his closet. There is one shelf that I think I want to use for knick-knacks rather than hanging clothes. He has a full row in his closet as well as 6 drawers on the chest of drawers. (side note: Baby J was given a present of books to open at his shower. Thank you Aunt McGreggor. The basket they came in may be what we are looking for. But I need more!)
- Wash his sheets and crib skirt... I just put them on for aesthetics!
- Wash Baby J's hats, socks, and the rest of the clothes I know are keepers.

Week: 34

Weight Gain: I will give y'all a teaser here... I have officially gained and stayed at the gained 30 lb mark!

Maternity Clothes: Same ones... But I will say that maternity bathing suit that I bought "just because", has come in crazy handy! Like crazy handy! Ladies, if you find yourself pregnant in the summer, get cha a baby belly appropriate suit. It will change your life.

Wedding Ring On/Off: On, it does catch at my knuckle depending on how swollen I am at the end of the day. I take it off to put my Burts Bees mama oil on.

Sleeping: These last few days not well. I wake up a good 4-7 times. Get up to pee 3-4 times. And constantly am changing positions. My hips go to sleep very easily.

Weekly Highlight: Making the bags for the nurses. I hope that they like them. I feel like the nursing and teaching professions are similar, and I wanted them to know we appreciate them!

Stretch Marks: Same ones... I have a daily routine of Palmers stretch mark lotion, Bio Oil, & Burts Bees mama oil. Who knows what works and what doesn't... My belly doesn't itch, so that's good!

Cravings/Food Things: I have been eating more sweets this week... And I cannot seem to eat much of anything after 5/6pm. I am so full and heavy from the day so I haven't been able to stomach much else. There is no room!!

Labor Signs: None that I am aware of. I have been feeling him a lot lower than I have before. Who knows!

Missing Anything In Particular This Week: being able to walk my dog in the evenings. The heaviness has kept me from it.

Weekly Mood: I have been tired this week. But I have gotten a lot done, so accomplished! Tired & accomplished!

Whatcha Looking Forward Too: Meeting my little angel baby! I cannot even wrap my mind around how close we are!! AND LSU football starts this week! So hulllooohhhh Tigahs, I have missed you!! LSU vs. Wisconsin in Houston. We are planning to go, have tickets (thank you Haliburton)! And thank you Doyle's for the Houston Digs! We are much appreciative that you are allow us and the furry little beast to crash there for the evening!

Workout This Week: Yoga & Walking. It is a slow yoga week because things keep coming up in my yoga time slots.

The beginning of the hospital bags! Christopher is packed in the Northface, Nurse presents in the whole foods bag, I will be the Vera Bradley dufflebag, and Baby J will be in his diaper bag!

Baby J's borrowed bassinet! Snuggle Baby!!

Yeah yeah yeah I got sucked into the fall stuff being out! BTW these are YUM!

A peak at the closet shelving. We have it on both doors! Love it!! Have all the diapers we have been given (Honest & Pamper Swaddlers) stocked up and ready for the babe!

Hospital bag list. Color coordinated and sorted... judge all you want!

HubsMan ran his first Half Marathon! In real life it is 13.1 miles... based on this course being mis-marked he ran 14.3! Go head brotha!

Goodie bag prep for the nurses! I hope they like candyyyy!
